What is the /etc?
The /etc is a kind of international (or anti-national?) grassroots meeting of women interested in technical activities. It takes place once a year.
The first /etc was a three-day meeting in Pula (Croatia) in the beginning of August, 2002.
The /etc 2003 was a grand 7-day event in Athens, Greece from June 30th to July 6th. It was really really hot in Athens. You can spy a few pictures here.
The Eclectic Tech Carnival 2004 was held in Belgrade, Serbia July 11th to July 18th, 2004. Our partner organisation for this event was Zene Na Delu (Women@Work).
Once again we are plotting this summer's /etc. Our new website (for registration and other information can be found at eclectictechcarnival.org. You can join our mailing lists if you would like to learn more about the /etc or to help with the planning.
