Greetings from /tali

HI, I am Tali and I used to live in Amsterdam. It was there that I met some really great women and we started the Gender Changer Academy together. I used to help with the GCA's first Hardware Courses, and I have done a lot of work on the Hardware Reader. I now live in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I spend a bit of my time maintaining and updating the GCA and /etc web pages (if you have comments, send them to me). As a result I am messing around with HTML. So, here I will continue in the GCA tradition of sharing (like we did with the hardware courses) what I have recently been teaching myself with you. As I share I have the added benefit of continuing to learn :-)

My words of wisdom are, "There are resources. Use them! And don't get too frustrated when you make mistakes - that's learning the hardway!

I happily use my friends' resources, and at this time I would like to thank Wybe and Janneke for teaching the first HTML course at the ASCII internet cafe in Amsterdam. They had some very nice resources, but they are no longer available as they moved the link and didn't leave a forwarding address. I have recreated my HTML resources based on their ideas. My friend, Steve White has a lovely introduction to HTML, too - Quick Introduction to HTML.

This is me at the 1000-wheel-ride, Vancouver, BC, June 2003.
