/proc/interrupts is a virtual directory where the kernel lists
which external devices (soundcard,scsi-controller,network,mouse,keyboard)
are connected to which interrupt-lines of the CPU (Processor).
An interrupt is a bell that rings when the CPU shall pay attention immediately
to an external device (or vice versa).
you can look at them by typing cat /proc/interrupts.
The GenderChanger Academy - award
The GCA started increasing the number of women working on teccy stuff.
Another intention is the free access for everybody to computer hardware knowledge.
But what's about language issues for pieces of computer hardware - there are even more unfriendly
expressions than "genderchanger": "master" and "slave" describe the rank of the
ide-devices - that's not unfriendly but degrading or even racist!
What is the GCA-award?
So we decided to create the GCA-award to ameliorate the language conciousness
amongst people who deal with "unpolitical" technical stuff.
If you want to win the GenderChanger Academy award, you should:
* invent an appropriate expression for the different ide-devices!
* write a manual how to change these expressions on your own computer system!
