Hardware (day) Tuesday July 1 10:00-13:00 Learn how the hardware of a PC works and fits together, In this hands-on workshop participants will use their own hands and tools to dismantle a PC and put it back togeher again. There are no such things as stupid questions inthis workshop and you don't have to be afriad of breaking something, but hopefullt by the end of the workshop, some of the participants will still have working computers. Ursula, Maya, Ma ga no assumed knowledge Required Equipment: 1 complete pc for every 3 students, power, flip chart, pens, screwdrivers approx 3 participants per facilitator

Linux Install Friday, July 4 10:00-13:00 I would like to do mostly debian but to have redhat and/or suse install CDs, too. so that people who are interested in different distributions of linux can see the difference (mainly: little different install, different install-tools apt-get, rpm or yast2 and their advantages and disadvantages). Would be nice if someone could bring a one-partition-windose-computer so that we could do an after-partitioning for a double boot (windose and linux) machine. Networking Saturday, July 5 10:00-13:00 Networking involves many things. In this workshop there will be a short intro to ping, hostname, ifconfig, dns, whoami, browsers, irc, ssh, email, man or info pages.
